Brutalised Marstons pub that was probably fairly charming 30 years ago. Three staff behind the jump with only one motivated to work - he should grow a spine and whip his colleagues into line. A single cask, Brakspear Oxford Gold, which was actually decent (NBSS 3) given it wasn’t obviously shifting despite there being a decent smattering of locals - the younger ones playing darts. Overall it feels like the owners have given-up but there's the fabric of a decent place here if someone can get a grip.

We were the first customers in on a Saturday lunchtime. Not sure if it had been a heavy night but the outside area that you walk through to the pub was not the cleanest. The first thing I noticed was the ashtrays actually overflowing with butt ends! I'm guessing they used the ashtrays when the floor was full as it felt like we were ankle deep! On the beer front there was an OK pint of Boondoggle. No food being served. Not much really to warrant a revisit.

Half pub, half Thai restaurant.

Superb Boondoggle in excellent condition.

Nice beer garden to watch to hikers heading up to the hills.

This Marston's house has a Thai menu and as the weather was good, the majority of customers were eating outside on the front patio. The interior of the pub consisted of a long narrow room with bar facing you as you enter. On the bar two beers from Ringwood.
