Blue Scrumpy left this review about Red Lion

Country pub on the A4503. The pub has one large room with a dining section nearest the car park with further areas stretching a fair way back. We sat in the dining section, as there was nobody there to eat mid-afternoon on a Saturday. There are bare brick walls with some old pictures on the walls. Slate tiles are on the floors. To the rear is a small outdoor yard. Music was playing and a TV was showing rugby at quite a volume.

The bar has an impressive 6 handpulls but just 2 were clipped with the ubiquitous Herefordshire beers - HPA & Butty Bach. The HPA here is rebadged as Stig Ford, which did the trick and fooled me into ordering it. Wye Valley Nightjar can also be found on keg. Ciders were Weston's Vintage & Stowford Press. The barmaid (possibly landlady) wasn't very attentive and poured a pint, when we had ordered a half.

This pub was in the Good Beer Guide as recently as 2025 but I can clearly see why it has dropped out of the latest Guide. I struggle to find anything to really recommend it.
