GBG-listed, this is a farmhouse café that stocks a local cask ale and a few ciders to drink in (also note the adjoining farm shop that sells an impressive collection of bottled ales/ciders as well as the usual provisions) and was previously a pub in its own right. Bar/servery to the left, more of an eating area to the right. A farmhouse feel to the décor and furnishing, tasteful food related prints on the walls -all very nice, one you can take your mum to. Very busy on our Sunday morning visit, mainly cakes, coffee and breakfasts, we were the only two tippling (it was just past 11am I suppose…). Hobsons Bitter (very nice) and three ciders/perries available. For something different, this worth a stop and you can stock up with meat and ales too - win. A good idea to transform under-utilized country pubs elsewhere? I reckon so. Beware that the place does not open after 6pm except Fridays (9pm).
