Now open again after a 'refresh' which has included adding an extra hand pull. Three beers on - Banks's Amber, Ringwood Forty Niner and Wainwright Gold. Still an interesting mix of customers but sadly the jukebox has not reappeared but the background music was decent enough.

The pub is closed at the moment with signs inviting someone to run the pub. I hope it does re-open as it is a down to earth pub with character and characters. And it still has a decent jukebox !

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Queens Head
Worryingly quiet town-centre pub located just beyond the eastern end of the High Street, but perhaps it doesn't get much passing trade these days (and it can close early during the week from my experience). Fairly basic, multi-room layout, with the bar in the centre, a comfortable little lounge with a small counter to the left and two further seating areas off to the right (although one was in darkness on a Tuesday evening). Patio seating out in the rear courtyard. Food appears to be restricted to Sunday roasts, and no real ale from the two handpumps on this visit. Made do with a keg Banks's Original (£2.95).

A former Ansells pub now owned by Banks's / Marstons. No real ale in recent times, but it does sell real cider. The pub has a varied selection of customers and a juke box with plenty of music from the 60's,70's and 80's.
