From the outside looked like a large pub but definitely is smaller once you are in. Felt a little on edge here as its clearly a locals pub. Not a spare table in sight. Plenty of dart boards. They had one hand pull on offer which was Arkells which the pub is tied to.

The Swiss Chalet is a large open plan local’s boozer with multiple televisions for showing live sports. During a recent Thursday afternoon visit horse racing was being watched by ten or so locals who had lined the long bar that runs across the length of the rear wall. This bar faces some raised seating that runs along the front windows. Also in this raised area are two dartboards that complement a third to the right of the bar. There is a forth dartboard in a games room to the left rear of the bar where a pool table is also located. A standard keg range is available from the bar that also support three hand pumps. One of these was unused which left two cask ale offerings from Arkells. Hot food is not available.
There is a large car park outside the front of the pub where some picnic tables are also located. I found the service to be polite and if I lived locally I would use this pub to watch football.

This pub is just off the main gorse hill shopping area.
The Swiss Chatel is a large looking pub that resembles a swiss chalet, there is one large room inside and this was fairly comfortable and by the looks of it they must do live music at some point.
This is an Arkells tied house and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Arkells 2B and this was a decent drink the other beers were Arkells 3B and Arkells Kingsdown Ale.
The pub was fairly quiet on my dinner visit.
