E TA left this review about White Horse Inn
A very pleasant town pub in a red brick building with 14th Century roots. There is a small games room on the left as you enter, which contains a pool table, dartboard and gaming machine. The bar is open and airy, contiguous with a large dining room. There are brick fireplaces with woodburners, exposed timbers and a variety of furniture styles. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, and the feeling is more of a village local than a town boozer, an image ruined only by two idiots playing GTA very loudly on their tablet. There is an enclosed garden at the back. Ales on were Courage Best, Hobgoblin Gold and Doombar, all in fair condition. Worth stopping for lunch, and an OK place to spend an evening when the children have left.
