An 18th Century village road side inn with a small car park at the side. It's unspoilt, basically decorated and has the aroma of open fire in the air as you enter. There is a small car park at the side, with a broken surface. The inn does B&B and lunchtime meals, and there is a separate pool room to one side. The staff are local and rather welcoming, the clients a mix of locals and families. Two ales on, a Yorkshire strong ale and the more driver-friendly Flack's Double Drop. Both beers were in very good condition. I'd be very happy to pass by again any time, and it's worth finding for a light lunch.
