A 70s-feel refurb kept well inside (it has apparently been run by the same couple since 1991). Large inside, clearly built to catch the passing road trade which is no longer much of a thing these days so seems a bit much when quiet, as it was on my visit. Of note is the big central copper-plated fireplace. Four cask on over five pumps, 2x Hop Back, TT Landlord, St Austell Proper Job and Hop Back Citra (NBSS 3) alongside a cider. Pool, darts, a Sooty collection box and a Chernobyl-esque kids slide in the garden. GBG listed. 6.5
