The curent owners, David and Nic, have been in about 18 months now and have turned what was a failing business into a fantastic village pub with excellent home-made food and very good beers. They are a young couple who have put their heart and sole into the business, and it's paid off most successfully. Sometimes the menu can be a bit too ambitious for the type of pub, but if you stick to the traditional pub food you will not go wrong. Otter is their regular beer and is always well kept. In additon they usually have a guest beer and a cider on draft. Well worth seeking out and it's not far off the A303.

My wife and I were visiting Stonehenge and fell upon this delightful inn. We're from Oklahoma and love to tour country roads to see what treasures are out there.
It was a rainy, windy day and the Inn looked inviting as we drove out of Salisbury. The proprietor and his wife were onsite and suggested their home-made vegetable soup. We asked for some bread and a half-pint of beer, which turned out to his own brewed-on-site creation.
They had a warm fire glowing and everything seemed just perfect - friendly hosts, delicious food, warm surroundings, and beer that tasted like beer used to taste. We were truly charmed.
We can whole-heartedly recommend this fine establishment to anyone visiting Stonehenge. It's worth the drive.
