Strongers . left this review about The Bishop's Mill
The Bishops Mill is a large high ceilinged and wooden floored Greene King pub on a rapid part of the River Avon, I assume this water power was used to turn the old mills back in the day. There’s a bit of history on an A-board out the front, which is also repeated word for word on a chalkboard in the pub. The entrance opens into the bar area where a serving counter across the rear faces a row of high tables up the centre and more high tables that run along the windowed front wall. Premium keg was available and three of the four hand pumps were in used drawing GK IPA, Abbot Ale and Bishops Mill Best that I assume is a rebadged GK regular. To the left of the bar steps, and a wheelchair lift, rise to a long seating area where banquettes along the front wall face open plan seating that is overlooked by multiple televisions for airing satellite sports. Across the rear wall is a mezzanine with more seating that is reached by a staircase to the left where a pool table is also located. There was only one other customer during a recent late Friday morning visit, but a couple more did walk in just as I was leaving. This pub is just over the road from the city’s Wetherspoons, so there is stiff competition. The service from the young barman was polite, but I didn’t see anything here that would elevate this pub above its peers, so I doubt I’ll ever return.

As described by Quinno it is an attractive looking building, the high vaulted ceiling allows for a sizable mezzanine area via stairs at the rear. Being a Greene King pub I wasn't expecting an exciting beer range and I didn't get one, IPA, Abbot and Bishops Mill Bitter, I had half an Abbot which was served a little on the cold side.
It was worth the look but not somewhere I'd likely return to.

AKA the Novichok pub. It looks the part from the outside, an attractive mill building and you have to cross over a little bridge to get to it. Obviously the interior was fully re-done as part of the decontamination efforts a few years ago. It is quite a circuit bar; very big, high-ceilinged and open-plan, quite stripped-back, high chairs and posing tables. The outside garden looks like an excellent summer draw, though my visit was on a dank November afternoon. Run by Greene King with two of their stagers available on the cask - Abbot and GK IPA – the latter of which was in great shape (NBSS 4), a genuine surprise. I might just be tempted back in again next time for a swift half to see if they can repeat the experience…

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Mill
Attractive conversion of a former mill, located in a very prominent riverside setting. Elongated bar with split-level seating areas plus a mezzanine. Front beer garden. Semi-modern furniture and decor, with food and drink offers reminiscent of a Wetherspoons. Two pairs of handpumps, both offering Greene King IPA and Rocking Rudolph. OK, but perhaps could benefit from aiming a little more upmarket.

Formerly The Bishop's Mill, the Mill was one of the more important commercial buildings in Salisbury and dates back to the Middle Ages. It was converted into a pub in the late 20th Century. It is set in a fine building with a large open area, waterside location and is convenient to the City Centre. As a pub, though, it has a lot to be desired. No real ale and a clientele whose chief pleasure is alcopops make this a pub to avoid as a rule. There are several decent pubs within a few yards, so apart from the occasional piece of eye-candy and its architectural interest I can see no real reason to include this one in a crawl or choose it as a venue for the evening.
