The Swan is an eighteenth Century village pub just off the A345 on Salisbury Plain between Netheravon and Upavon. It has all the usual original charm features - inglenook, beams, flag floors and so on. It was on the verge of closure in 1998 and was bought out by residents of the Village, supported by a generous donation from Stonehenge Ales. Only one of the partners still lives in the Village, though. Staple beers are Stonehenge (usually Heelstone) and Wychwood, plus there are usually two guest ales on. Food is normally available, always good quality and a reasonable price. The beers are always well kept, so it's suprising that this isn't a GBG regular. One of the best pubs on the Plain, this one is well worth seeking out for any occasion.
