A large detached brick and stone pub, restaurant and B&B, with patio - which was a former coaching inn.
The interior has three rooms at least; a bar in white and wood panel, with a red brick fireplace and Sky TV. There was a lot of old photos and ephemera, including a big water pump. The games room had a pool table and dart board, in white and wood panel, with those dogs playing pool pictures. The restaurant, set out with tables of course, was in cream, with a central brick fire. The service was fine, there was no other clientele at our visit.
Beer; tap stuff, with Wadsworth's; 6X, Henry's IPA and not a great Strong in the Arm on handpull.
Not a bad place, but suffers from having the Ship over the road - my half was quaffed quickly - tasted like the first of the day.
