A large village pub currently operated by Wadworths, very much the hub of the local community. The building is probably 19th Century, though it has been since extended. There is a small car park, but parking on the road can be problematic. The garden is a reasonable size and pleasantly kept. There is a single conjoined bar with paneled walls, open fireplaces and a mix of furniture including dining tables and chesterfield sofas. A function room is off to one side, though its situation next to the kitchen can be a bit annoying. A variety of Asian food styles is offered, though we had a simple curry which was excellently cooked and plentiful. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, while the locals were very welcoming. Two ales on draft, Henry's and 6X. Both were in excellent condition, served at the right temperature and most enjoyable. A superb place to spend the evening.
