Old Boots left this review about The Old Star Inn
A super multi-room pub, with an old style public to the left with a pool table, there's a couple of back rooms and a small front lounge or two, I picked the one with a decent fire as it was taters outside. Another lovely Sam Smiths local, the Old Brewery Bitter was cold but not vinegar just a wee bit stale, the regulars and staff were a friendly lot too which made for a pleasant visit. All in good decorative order as expected from Smiths.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Old Star Inn
The Old Star Inn is a plain looking stone built pub.
Once inside the pub has a small bar room to the front right which is carpeted and as comfy bench seating and small stools, the room to the left has a pool table in it,there is also a room to the rear right which is down two steps.
This pub is a Samuel Smiths tied house, there was one real ale on which was Old Brewery Bitter, this was a decent drink.
The pub was too quiet for my liking and almost empty on my Saturday afternoon visit.
This is a pleasant enough pub just a shame it was empty and quiet.
