I thought this was a decent place to visit, the interior was spotlessly clean and the decor was modern and wine bar in style. We were the first through the doors at 2pm on Saturday and it wasn't too long before some more like minded beer drinkers called in. Five handpumps on the bar Jaipur, Landlord, White Rat, Big Trip Brewery Sticky Mess and Lune Brew Pale Ale. We went for the Lune Brew Pale, which was top class and the prices in here were also sensible, with the majority of the beers costing around the £4 mark.

Renamed with a poor pun on the local pronunciation of Sowerby. Much as before inside although it now has 5 pulls but just 3 were on and the Oakham Green Devil ran off as I sat there contemplating having one after my Craven VIP which is of course Elland 1872 porter in a different jacket. The other beer on was Brass Castle Bright Pale Ale, not sure if that is descriptive, refers to its processing or is just a name.

A wine bar style single room, although there's a secluded bit at the back through a stone arch, with all the usual seating options, high low and medium. Four pulls on the bar with small local stuff from Grey Hawk, Elland, Milltown and Goose Eye and the quality was very good. Not one for traditional pub lovers but there's nothing intrinsically wrong here.

This is a friendly pub on the main street in Sowerby Bridge, it is welcoming with excellent staff. They have a good selection of hand pulled beers that change fairly regularly. They also have an extensive range of wines and spirits. They also do food and the Sunday Lunch is to die for. All meals are cooked fresh from scratch. The pub has a large square room on entry and a smaller room in the back. They have a disabled toilet downstairs, but the main toilets are upstairs and are always clean and tidy. I did notice that one of the reviews said it does not have a beer garden or a car park but it does, they are both down the back of the pub. Access to the beer garden is from the main bar and the Car Park can be accessed either from the side of the pub on Wharf Street or round the back from the Moorings. Well worth a visit -you will not be disappointed

Williams is a short walk along the roar from Roxy Venue.
Once inside there is a square shaped room to the front with the bar on the left side, the room has a tiled floor and bench seating to the front right, there are normal tables and chairs on the right side.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of GK Aleoha which was a very nice drink, the other beers were Salopian Hop Twister and Old Golden Hen.
I had a good chat with the very friendly young bar person,he gave me some good advise about pubs in the Halifax area to do.
Background music was playing.
The pub was empty on my early Saturday dinner visit, but no doubt gets busier later.
This is a pleasant pub,one to take the wife to.

I walked into this bar expecting to have a half of something fizzy, but was pleasantly surprised to find 4 handpumps on the bar serving changing guests. It's just one fairly small room and the place was buzzing on a Thursday evening with hardly a table free. My pint of Saltaire Blonde was in good nick and Ms CAMRA enjoyed her red wine. We'll definitely be calling in here again.
