Old Boots left this review about The New Inn
Looks a bit like several terraced houses have been knocked together, the inside sort of reflects this although with a wide, open plan layout there are several distinct areas with cut off walls between them. Each seems to have a fireplace and a screen, some have machines, the far left area has a pool table. Banquette seating at Britannias in the main and there’s a carpet in parts. The counter runs along the wall back towards the right hand end, a Craft Union house so a low end keg choice of usual suspects. There are two hand pumps both unclipped although one had a framed notice advertising Hobgoblin Gold propped up on it, it wasn’t as bad as expected but being so out of condition and it could have been fresh ale on a low gas, the staff said no it’s cask. I didn’t risk the John Smiths Smooth. Craft Union pride themselves as being community pubs and this seems a good example of the breed.
