A roadside pub biggish inside and multispace as it’s been ruthlessly opened out to produce, according to my taxi driver, a failed or failing dining pub. Very quiet of a Wednesday evening which is a quiet night anyway, much of the large dining space to the right was empty. The more drinking oriented space around the counter on the left had a few drinkers in and a few lads were in the leftmost bit by the road playing darts. The left side as you enter from the carpark appears the drinkers bit while the right side is for diners. The counter has a couple of usual suspect laden T-Bars plus solos, there are half a dozen pulls with a selection of Greene King dross, I had an Old Speckled Hen which was almost vinegar, £4.90 down the drain, I doubt the others would be much better. My most positive comment “arrrragh” thank god I don’t have to go back here.
