Old Boots left this review about The Bulls Head
Traditional looking pub up a side street from the central roundabout. Inside is a wee bit modernised but nothing to frighten the horses, still traditional in concept. Two bars, a lounge to the left and a public to the right, banquette, stools and low rectangular tables in both. Three pulls in the public with Goose Eye Chinook, Saltaire Blonde, Ilkley Milky Way stout, plus a low T-Bar of national favourites, I didn’t check the lounge but a couple of boards suggested Goose Eye Bitter and Tetley Bitter were on alongside the same sort of kegs. The public has a board floor, machine and dart board on the chimney breast over the woodburner plus a screen in the corner. Inevitably perhaps there’s unnecessary piped music. Weirdly two wooden casks lurk under the public bar counter, see photo. It’s a lot like Ray and Fiona found it in 2018.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Bulls Head
An excellent two roomed traditional pub with a bar and lounge side. The young barmaid was very welcoming and went out of her way to put a fresh barrel of Goose Eye Chinook back on handpump, when it had just ran out as I was at the bar. Four ales on handpull on our visit, Goose Eye Chinook, Tetley, Saltaire Blonde and Nightjar Out of this World porter. All of which were dispensed from porcelain handled and highly polished pumps.
We sat in the lounge which had a black and white mural featuring Balidon back in the day, taken from an old photograph. The colour scheme was pale green painted walls and grey and white check upholstered bench seating. The bar side had similar coloured painted walls and medium green buttoned back upholstered bench seating, plus a TV over in the far corner. Both rooms had log burning stoves and the pub also hosted a small beer garden out the back. This was a decent, well kept pub and had a relaxed atmosphere, well worth a visit.
