As described below, this is an impressive standalone building set back from the road down a small slope. Layout is as Alan describes below and probably hasn’t changed much in the last 10 years, nicely old fashioned in a comfy 1980s refurb manner and kept immaculately. Inside, the lounge (right) is long and blue with much comfy upholstery and movie-related bits and bobs. The snug (left) is only slightly more basic with a tiled floor. There’s a decent grassed garden with small pond adorned with some questionable gnomes. GBG listed with three cask on the go; TT Landlord, Tetley Bitter and a local one I forgot to note. The welcome behind the bar was friendly and the beer exceptionally good, with the Landlord being close to perfect (NBSS 4.5) and the Tetley also more than pulling it weight (NBSS 4). Busy mid-afternoon with a local crowd of morning shift mums who’d knocked-off and the usual local codgers. Really impressive, my pal who’s brought a house up here is more than happy with this as his local and I’d say it’s absolutely worth the 20 minute walk out of town to sample. 8.5

The Fleece is a stand alone pub that is set back from the road.
Once inside there is an L shaped lounge to the right which runs to the rear of the pub, this room has very comfy bench seating and small stools, the room is carpeted, there is also a small snug to the front left.
There were five real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Taylor Golden Best which went down very well, the other beers were Taylor Landlord,Leeds Pale,Tetley Bitter and Springhead Ariano.
Decent background music was playing, there is a decked area to the rear and a small grassed garden.
This is a very comfortable pub to have a drink in,it was very busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.
I quite liked this pub, well worth the walk from the middle of Pudsey.

Another good find in out of the way Pudsey, not far from the excellent Royal making a two hander to Pudsey worth the bus fare. A modernised two bar pub in traditional style with Britannia tables and bench seating. I loved the "spot the Hollywood Star" posters and the statuettes of jazz musicians and Laurel & Hardy. The counter with three serving faces carries a good range of smaller Regionals and bigger micros in cracking condition, the usual blackboard lists the choices. Lots of jokey signs around the toilet block and a great local atmosphere. The pub also runs beer festivals.
