A long two bar pub with a lounge and a public, the public is popular and very much a public bar complete with bar blockers, a sign says no seats at bar so they stand about drinking lager and blocking the view of the pump clips. In true public bar style it has a pool table, screen, machine and the piped music. Three pulls on the L shaped counter, Landlord, Wainwright and Saltaire Blonde plus three T’s of the nation’s favourites, yup Carling and John Smiths are available. Laminate floor, banquette seating and a club like atmosphere. The lounge is less clubby, lots of banquettes, same beers. Popular but not enticing due to modernisation.

Photos on the walls show this pub in various changes of appearance through the years, but the biggest changes are internal, as it has gone from small beginnings to what is almost certainly the largest pub in Silsden. There are now just two rooms, a sports bar and a lounge with an area for upright drinking. Three hand pumps are repeated on the bar counter in each room, with Landlord, Wainwright and Purity Ubu (very good) on offer at the time of my visit. The beer was better than expected, but the pub is not my sort of place at all.

Okay as real ale pubs go but in the shadow of the King's Arms opposite it this pub falls down. Usually has Copper Dragon and Black Sheep on tap but no local micro breweries manage to get their ales to this place's pumps. The interior is a little worn and the atmosphere quite downbeat. Okay for one during a crawl though.
