Will Larter left this review about Bronte Hotel

Modern hotel - the website mentions it having been run by the same family for over 30 years - with three hand pumps in the main bar/dining room, straight ahead on entering. On Sunday evening this was deserted but I went in anyway to see what the beers were, which the manager was ok with, though after serving me and taking my beers to the sports bar side, he then turned the lights off in the dining room. There's a pool table and darts board, and loud music. It's quite smart, with good quality floorboards, and bench seating round two sides, with modern laminated tables facing each bench. Framed Leeds United shirts tell us we're not in Bradford, despite the postcode. The manager told me that beers from local brewery are usually on; one of them (Goose Eye Bitter 3.9%, NBSS 2) had a hint of acetic acid, but the merest hint. The other was a blonde with chinook hops, which were a little harsh, but good enough for NBSS 3. Staying at the youth hostel, almost opposite, this is a handy pub on a night of occasional heavy showers. If it rains again tomorrow I might be back.
