Old Boots left this review about The Fleece
Stone built but extended dales pub, a two bar set up, a sign in the entrance vestibule directs one to mucky boots snd mutts to the left and posh frocks and high heels to the right. Having left my high highs and posh frock at home I plumped for the Tap Room on the left. The right hand bar is basically a restaurant on a slightly higher level located to the rear and right, there is a big table at the front possibly for drinkers. Four keg taps and three pulls in here. The Tap Room is a pleasant narrow room with a wood burner in a neat stone fireplace at one end and a short counter on the right, it was unstaffed but a notice pointed me at the restaurant for service. Three pulls here with the same two choices as the restaurant, Craven BYB and Saltaire Raspberry Blonde, nowt on the third. Six tall kegs taps that could do with a polish, and nothing remarkable being served. Bench seat in the front window with button back banquette in the main body of the room to one side, high stools and a drinking shelf down the other. Laminate floor looking like boards and the walls and ceiling are in tongue & groove. Pleasant but functional I suppose sums it up, I gave the beer 2.5.

A large and fairly well-heeled stone-built pub with a hefty food trade but not ignoring drinkers. It is all pretty smart but the bar to the left is designated for dogs and muddy boots, having plain wood flooring and feeling more pubby. To the right there is a small bar with a nice fire grate, then several adjoining rooms laid up for dining, all with stone floors and walls and tastefully decorated. There is a tabled patio area by the road at the front, but the rear has all been given over to parking. Ales on were Ilkley Mary Jane, Black Sheep and Wainwright, in very drinkable condition. The food, although quite pricey, is excellent and has a strong emphasis on fish.

My first time in Addingham so I stopped to take some photos, thinking I'd call in for a beer later. It was just after 11.30 on Sunday morning but this pub was already open - not just open but treating the rest of the village to some modern-hotel-lounge-type soul music. This was not just leaking out through doors and windows - there were external loud speakers. Isn't there a law against this sort of thing?
