A landmark on the edge of Ilkley Moor, with superb views. The pub part is still Vintage Inns while the hotel part comes under Innkeepers Collection. It is very much given over to food, with a rambling series of rooms all set out for dining, all decorated in a sort of country house style. There are a couple of tables by the bar where drinkers can lurk though, as well as tables outside. I would imagine it becomes untenable on summer Sundays etc., but it is not unreasonable on quieter days. Cask ales on were TT Landlord, Saltaire Blonde and Leeds Pale, with the latter being not in its finest condition but I didn't have time to investigate the others.

A large vintage in a pub us a hill from Ilkley town centre by the winding road side. standard. Vintage inns style but nicely furnished with several rooms with dining more of a priority. We sat outstanding de as there is a nice sun trap front beer garden . Beer wise there was a good selection of real ales from he better macro brewery's and a few micro guests. There way landlord (£3.85) very expensive and averagely kept along side blacks sheep, tribute, Kikstall three Swords, Doombar, plus two macro beers. overall this is a a nice pub ghat is only really let down by its prices and its chain like nature. It's not quite an 8/10 but halts don't exist in here but would be a 7.5!

Second visit to the Cow And Calf with work colleagues from West Norwich Credit Union.Well what can i say?? OMG Food/Service/staff/variety of drinks especially the real ales just out of this world!!!.Would certainly recommend anyone to visit even if only wanting a drink and to admire the view.All of us from Credit Union could in no way fault the fabulous food, homemade /tasty/presentation/variety just so superb..Keep up the good work hopefully will be paying you another visit in the future
