Old Boots left this review about Scapehouse Inn

A stone built pub overlooking part of Huddersfield and the Colne Valley. Inside is an L shaped bar with tables and chairs mainly for dining to the right and the bar counter and more tables with chairs and settles ahead to the left, beyond that is a more secluded area separated by some arches. This is furnished with low booth type bench seating. The right hand dining area has a big screen and some weaving shuttles as decoration a reminder of the area's textile heritage.

A Marstons outlet, the beers on the four handpumps were from Brakspears and Wychwood, I tried a couple and both were in very good nick. The usual stuff on a couple of T Bars. The furnishings are traditional pub but not tatty and the floors are a mix of flags, carpet and bare boards. Décor is also traditional pub with a selection of maps, old photos, books and a collection of various nick-nacks. It is run by an enthusiastic Welsh family, an old pub with a modern interior in traditional style.
