A big corner pub with two bars giving an awkward U shaped interior with a common servery. It has interesting light coloured wooden furniture and the counter is also in light wood made of some sort of strips. It has banquette seating round the room edge. The larger main bar is on two floor levels, possibly for use as a stage. Only an average Cameron’s Strongarm as the cask choice and with the usual kegs on solos. Obviously it has over loud music and screens. There’s supposed to be a beer garden but I stayed indoors. That said it does seem to have a great community spirit.

Large hotel which was rather quiet when we were there. They had Wychwood Hobgoblin on and we stayed for a drink. There was a TV showing Sky Sports results. Different levels of seating and a bar and lounge. There was a beer garden too.
Above was in 2013 and we called again last month and found that it was busy and had a feel of a proper community family pub. We enjoyed Sharps Atlantic beer there.
