Alan Winfield left this review about The Wike Horse

The Wike Horse is situated on Heckmondwikes small market place.
Once inside there is a single L shaped room, there is comfy bench seating in bays either side of the front door, the bar is in the middle area which narrows, there is a drinking shelf opposite the bar with bar stools to sit on,the rear area opens out, there is a pool table here and tall tables and chairs, the room is carpeted, there was a TV on in the front right area showing horse racing.
There were two pumps on the bar with their clips turned round,i asked for a drink of real ale but was told it would be on later in the day,i doubted this,i had a drink of John Smiths smooth crap which was crap.
The front area was packed with a mix of drinkers.
This is a smart enough pub, shame about the lack of one real ale.
