Inside the carcass of a nineteen thirties pub is a moderately modernised gaff. This involves a redone counter, small slab floor, fairy lights under the counter, rough cast plaster wall paper, reupholstered banquette, and dodgy Edison lights. On the bright side is the almost untouched layout of two bars, with a central servery and a few 30’s features still intact. The usual old photo decor on white walls. On the beer front, two unused pulls and two T-Bars of the nation’s favourites.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Old House At Home
The Old House at Home looks like a fairly large pub from the outside,it is situated at the end of Cleckheatons shopping area.
Once inside the pub still has two separate rooms,i had a drink in the small bar to the left, this room was square shaped and had bench seating, the floor looked like wood laminate, the lounge to the right is a lot larger, oblong shaped with a few different areas, this room had comfy bench seating and was carpeted.
There were three pumps on the bar one with a GK IPA clip turned round, but sadly no real ales were on,i had a drink of John Smiths smooth crap which lived up to its name.
Decent background music was playing,i sat in the wrong room, the lounge would have been a more comfy room to sit in.
This is a decent well run pub just a shame there were no real ales on the bar.
