Busy roadside pub that seems to be popular for meals. Golden Pippin is the solitary real ale these days, but the barmaid was friendly.
The main room is comfortable and there is a separate room off to the left-hand side that leads to a garden. With various advertisements for live music events in this rear room, it would appear to be a venue for the occasional music act. There is a small car park at the front of the premises.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Old Dolphin Inn
Given how high and relatively remote from the ocean it is, one wonders how the ridge through Queensbury managed to get two pubs of this name? However, this one holds its place in history as Percy Shaw's local, and it was on a journey home from here one dark night that he came up with the idea of the 'Catseye' reflecting roadstud. Anyway, I'm not sure what he would make of it now since the 'L'-shaped bar and what is now a side dining room have been thoroughly refurbished. Having said that, it retains the character of a local and clearly still serves its community well. Two real ales on handpump: Landlord (£2.60, and in fine form) and Copper Dragon Golden Pippin.

The Old Dolphin is a nice looking stone built pub that is a short walk from the middle of Queensbury.
Once inside the main bar room is L shaped with the bar facing, the room is bare boarded, there is comfy bench seating to the front and down the left side with small stools, there was also a real on the go to the front left, there was a TV to the left showing the West Ham v Liverpool game.
There is a small separate room to the front right.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Taylor Landlord which went down very well and also cheap at £2.50 a pint, the other beer was Doom Bar.
A very pleasant pub that was quite busy on my Saturday dinner visit.
