Old Boots left this review about The Globe
Plainish whitewashed exterior with a neat traditional interior. A public bar to the right curving round behind the servery and a smaller lounge to the left provided with a short piece of counter. The main counter is in the public and just supplies Strongarm, a few half pulled pints are in the fridge behind so the delicious banked version is available. Usual assortment of kegs also provided. Nice decor of nautical and old photos, it has a drinking area at the rear beyond the lavatories.

Called in last month and there was only one cask beer available, Camerons Strongarm. We had half pints then were amazed to see the pints that chaps were getting with a head rising over the rime of the glass by a good 2 or 3 inches!!

Loved this busy pub with the atmosphere of a true local for the community. There was a bar area with sky sports on, and a smaller lounge area, both with an unspoilt old fashioned pub feel that was so comfortable. A group were playing dominoes in the bar and there was a dart board there too. We enjoyed the Cameron's Strongarm here and it was the kind of pub I would love as my local. There was an outside seating area at the back of the pub which was well enclosed.
