Alan Winfield left this review about The Halfway House Inn
The Halfway House is a stone built pub that is situated in the middle of Queensbury.
Once inside this is an unaltered pub which still has three separate rooms, the main bar room to the front right is fairly large and carpeted, the seating is very comfy bench type and small stools, there is a very basic bar room to the front left which has basic bench seating and small stools, the floor is tiled and there is a dart board in it,no serving bar though, there is a really nice small snug to the rear left which is carpeted and has copper topped tables and small stools.
The pub is a Samuel Smiths tied house,no real ales on the bar,but i dont mind drinking Samuel Smiths keg beers,i had a drink of Samuel Smiths Old Brewery Bitter which went down well and a snip at 90p a half.
A very nice pub that was surprisingly empty on my Saturday dinner visit, maybe the weather had put people from going out.
