It's a bit of a walk, all uphill, to get to this pub on the outskirts of Bradford centre, but it's worth it. It's one room, but partially divided by one of the original walls. The left hand side has a large screen TV and a pool table. The right hand side has tables, chairs and settles. Good range of real ales on the bar usually involving a Phoenix beer and a Moorhouse's beer plus 3 or 4 guests from other breweries. There were a bunch of 4 or 5 regulars in the bar during my Friday afternoon visit who made me laugh out loud with their very funny, if somewhat none PC jokes and comments. Within 10 minutes I was being chatted to by both the landlord and the regulars. It's a great locals pub where all are welcome as long as you don't mind a somewhat boisterous atmosphere.

Fantastic place. Always a good selection of real ales on. Good starting point for a Bradford pub crawl.

Gem of a pub,not to far from Forster Square Rail Station, and a good catch for the avid real ale buff.Visited one Tuesday afternoon and sampled a decent pint of Everards Tiger Bitter which was one of eight cask beers on offer on the day.Although i did not have any food there seemed a varied menu at reasonable prices. The walls are adorned with a small variety of miscellanea, but by far the largest collection is the vast array of beer pump clips which cover all the beams and every other available space behind the bar.Well worth the effort and the wear on shoe leather to seek this pub out.

Has won several CAMRA awards. Always has guest ales on tap, and good food.
