Old Boots left this review about The Blue Boar

Attractive stone built, double fronted pub at the eastern end of Thornton. A two/three room set up, the front rooms have been knocked into one and the rear room is occupied by a pool table. The counter is on the rear wall of the front left room, it has two handpulls but sadly one was unclipped and the other, although with a Craven BYB clip, was crowned with an upturned half pint glass. Two T-Bars serve a couple of latin lagers, Carling, Worthington smooth, cider and Guinness so no surprises. Unholy trio of piped music, screens and machines. The wallpaper is green tartan, the carpet industrial and the lighting various sizes of globe leds on spiders. Bright points are the older style furniture and some original stained glass from a long defunct brewery. Harmless staff and punters on my early afternoon visit.
