Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Fox
The Fox can be found on a lane running parallel to the north of the main A27. It is one of two pubs (the other is the World's End) that can be found along here.
On a sunny Sunday afternoon, both were extremely popular with outdoor drinkers and cars spilling out of car parks onto the lane.
The large garden to the side of the pub must make it a lot of money during the summer months. It has a kids' play area and space for them to play football with a goal provided whilst their parents enjoy a pint and perhaps a meal, with fairly loud music provided from speakers in the trees. It's a magnet for families and there's no doubt that without the outdoor space, there would be no way the pub could accommodate the same volume of customers inside.
Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter is the regular beer, with the guest being Long Man Long Blonde on our visit yesterday. Bar service was friendly.
The Fox will undoubtedly attract a certain clientele, namely families. Yet despite having my own family along with me, this isn't really our kind of pub.
