Reopened at Easter folllowing a complete revamp. Outside has been repainted and looks very attractive. Entrance is through a set of double doors (which was originally the case, I understand). The bar has been redesigned and has several hand pumps providing mainly local beers (Kissingate, Harveys, Timothy Taylors, Burning Sky etc.) as well as a good range of keg beers. The old downstairs kitchen is now a new room with seating, the old vault has been extended into the area that was previously used for storing old tables and chairs). In total there is much more seating space available. The large beer garden is essentially untouched although there is now a decking area in front of the new room that replaced the old kitchen.

Last stop on our crawl of West Sussex and this was certainly one of the better pubs of a fairly mundane selection.
This pub has a reasonably small front bar, but stretches back a fair way to a deceptively large garden. With most tables taken, this was also the busiest pub of the day. As such, it took a while to get served.
Fuller's London Pride & Long Man Best Bitter are regulars here. We opted for the guest beer, which was Goldmark American Pale Ale. This happened to be the best beer we'd sampled during the day.
A nice pub that I would be happy to return to.
