Because several people have told me that the beer in here is good, I have visited this pub on 5 occasions and each time I have tried 3 or 4 beers. Each time they start off tasting OK but by the time I was halfway down my pint the beer took on a stale/sour smell and by the end of my pint I could not finish it. This happened every time and each time I checked with my wife to see if it was just me. Her experience was the same. The weight of support says it must be a good pub, but I cannot finish a single pint in there. The décor is pretty poor too. I would not recommend it!

A real ale haven right opposite the railway station.Up to ten real ales on tap with Landlord and Summer Lightning as regulars.All beers tried have been in excellent condition.A great pub to miss a train.
