The Star is an open plan L shaped community pub with a pool table towards the rear wall. Sky Sports is advertised and there are regular live music and karaoke nights. A carvery is available every Sunday between midday and 16:00 with adult meals costing £7.99 and kids £3.99. The Star kebab van is located in the pub’s car park from 16:30 every day. As this facility is advertised on the pub’s website I would imagine that the kebabs can be consumed in the pub.
During my recent Saturday evening visit one of the four hand pumps was unused leaving Sharp’s Doom Bar, Wadworth’s Horizon and Fuller’s London Pride as the cask ale options. A standard keg range was also available and I found the service to be very friendly.
The Star is a little too far in the wrong direction from Horsham Railway Station for me to consider a revisit, but if I was a local I would happily drink here.
