Strongers . left this review about The Crate & Apple
Crate & Apple is an L-shaped pub with and old laminate floored bar area with a long L-shaped stainless steel topped serving counter that supports premium keg products alongside two hand pumps that were drawing Doom Bar and Harvey’s best, the latter being £3.50 for a half, give it a rest FFS. There are split-level flagstone and laminate floored seating areas across the front of the pub and up the left to a dartboard at the rear, where oddly there’s no visible television, but there was some low background music. So those wanting to watch the Six Nations had to remain in the front bar area. The service was polite, but I’ll not be returning to pay £7 for a pint of 4% ale.

A single roomed pub, very much food driven but does retain a bit of a pub like feel with stools at the bar as well as tables and chairs about the room. Two handpumps with Harveys Sussex Bitter and Long Man Long Blonde, unfortunately the Blonde had seen better days. Its not a place I would purposely go to for a beer but it served a purpose while waiting for the nearby Chichester Inn to open at midday.
