Strongers . left this review about The Bulls Head
Across the rear wall of the Bulls Head is a serving counter that faces a dull tartan carpeted bar area and the entrance. The five supported hand pumps were drawing ESB, London Pride, HSB, Seafarers and Darkstar’s Hophead during a recent Saturday afternoon visit when this Fullers pub was busy with diners. The barmaid was very friendly, but unfortunately, she and her supervisor were unable to change the Pride barrel that had just gone. Deciding not to wait the 30 minutes for the return of the governor, I went for a Seafarers which was ok, but I wouldn’t order it again. To the right of the bar is an exposed brick fireplace full of logs that faces tables and red upholstered chairs which are also mirrored to the left of the bar. The walls are exposed throughout and some large tables that were full of dining families run on the other side of an internal wall up the left. Out the back is a decked and grass covered beer garden with accommodation at the rear. I thought it was ok in here, maybe a little too food led for my liking, but being out of town I suppose it has no choice but to go down the dining route. I’m not sure that I’d walk back out of town again to revisit, but if I ever do find myself passing again, I’ll pop back in to see if the Pride is on.
