Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Windmill
If Burgess Hill is a big enough place to have a northern suburb, that would describe this pub's location (although it's actually nearer Wivelsfield station). Anyway, it's been opened out into a U-shaped layout and refurbished at some stage. Unfussy furniture and decoration, although the little flower pots on the tables add a bit of colour. Also has a decking beer garden on the left-hand side and a few wooden benches at the front. Just Harvey's (£4.90) on the solitary handpump, with a few standard offerings from the keg taps. Most notable feature: an impressive list of forthcoming live music and family events.

Quinno _ left this review about The Windmill
A lucky dip pub as we got thirsty en route to the Watermill. Three ales on and Cask Marque accreditation was displayed in front of each pump. The condition of all three was good, with the Adnams Ghost Ship slipping down especially well although the Carling glass for each one made for a mild eye-roll (the other ales, if I remember correctly, were Doom Bar and Harveys Best). Mrs Quinno went for a Pimms and was very impressed to get the full fruit-laden monty. The high-ceilinged interior is perhaps not much to write home about, being a bit bland. To the rear is a long garden area which housed a bouncy castle and a pretty mixed bunch of punters, most of whom I guess came from the nearby estate. The licensees haven’t been in situ for overly long but on this evidence they seem to be making a decent fist of things and service was friendly. It’s a local’s pub but worth a stop if passing.

Strongers . left this review about The Windmill Inn
The Windmill is a U shaped pub with a bar that is stocked with standard draught products. It also supports three hand pumps that were drawing Harvey’s Best, Doom Bar and Young’s Special when I visited on Tuesday evening last week. To the left of the bar is a pool table, dartboard and a plasma screen that was showing rolling news. I didn’t spot any Sky Sports advertisements, but some background music was playing in competition with the sound from the TV. To the right of the bar is a fruit machine and the main body of seating. Food is served and the roasts on Sundays cost £9 and are served between noon and 14:30. Children are more than welcome and there are nappy changing facilities. There is a decked seating area to the right of the pub.
I found the service in here to be friendly and I’d pop back in if passing.
