The Cricketers was reasonably busy with a local forty-something crowd when I visited on Tuesday evening last week. Standard draught products were available and the two hand pumps were drawing Harvey’s Best and Courage Best. The bar area is U shaped with a fireplace and plasma screen, that was off during a football match, to the left of the bar. At the front of the pub down a couple of steps are a pool table and dartboard and when I was leaving I noticed another room to the right of the pub that houses at least two more pool tables. There was some music playing off the jukebox and a quiz is advertised for 20:30 every Sunday.

This is a basic boozer that feels a little grotty. I didn’t find the locals to be that friendly, but the guy pulling the pints was nice enough. I don’t plan to revisit here in the near future.
