Soup Dragon left this review about The True Briton

A typical detached 1960s looking Banks's estate pub, in undressed brick, with a smoking area.

The interior had a couple of rooms, though i only managed to see the bar room. It was in two-tone grey painted brick and wallpaper, with a white ceiling and a red tile effect floor. There were green leather seats and some stool, making it look like a proper bar room. There was a dart board in one corner and a TV that wasn't on. The music was supplied via the radio. There were a few sport pictures on the walls. The service was fine and the few clientele were mature locals.

Beer; tap stuff with Banks's MILD and Bitter on electronic cask pumps. I just had a bitter shandy, which was fine. No real ale handpulls.

It isn't a place you are going to travel to for any special reason, especially as the beer choice is straight-forward - it is there to service the local community, which it seems to do. It is tidy inside and apart from the dull impression that near all 60s building give from the outside, i was more than happy that i had popped in here.
