A detached, bland 1980s brick build exterior with small beer patio, which has been earmarked for demolition to make way for flats, so i understand, hence a photo of the interior.
The interior is open plan and very 1980s, with its twee fake beams, brick fire place, plates and ornaments - its so naff in many ways, it is an icon and i will be sad to see it go. Service generally sees a miserable landlady and the clientele is local, and mixed.
Beer; usual tap stuff, with Banks's MILD, Bitter and Marston's Pedigree on handpull, with Crag Rat as guest. MILD is always fine.
As a symbol of the 80s, this place should be taken over by The National Trust. I will be very sorry to see it go
