This is a large corner self-style 'Bar and Oriental Restaurant'. In fact it really is a Chinese Buffet. It is in mock-Tudor style mainly being in undressed brick, with moulded stone around the windows and doors, along with a nice corner frontispiece predominantly in stone. The interior has two areas, along with a reception. To the left on entry there is a massive open room for the buffet (i didn't really see this area. To the right is a bar room. The bar is a straight room, in a brickish sort of colour, with a hard wearing patterned carpet. There is red perimeter seating, with stools and general tables. There is a dart board, but this is offset against kiddies toy and sweet machines. A fusion of Far East and the West exists in the decorations, with Chinese statues, as well as a rather sad looking fish thing. There are also some wierd little coloured lights on the ceiling. There is a TV - showing general programmes and there was no music. Service was fine, but i can't say i saw anyone either eating and certainly not drinking. Beer; well, no real ale and the smallest keg choice i have seen; Strongbow, Carling and Worthies - and whilst i would rather drink my own blood, i had just played footy, so had a shandy. This is not really even a bar, you really would only go if eating. Despite the separate bar area, it is for someone that really didn't care about beer.
