A large detached 1930s styled undressed brick pub, with rear canal-side patio.
The interior has a couple of rooms that lead to the left and right from the entrance lobby. The lounge, to the left wasn't open at my visit. The bar, to the right, is in yellow and red, which looks a little tired now. There is a dart board at one end of the room and a pool table at the other. There was no music and several tv's with the Entertainment Channel on. A couple of pictures adorned the walls. The service was very friendly and the clientele consisted of a mixed group of locals, again, friendly.
Beer; no real ale,all keg, with Banks's MILD, which was fine
A basic pub, but with nothing for the real ale drinker - happy i popped in though.
