Strongers . left this review about Prince Albert

The Prince Albert has a central bar that serves a room to the right that houses a pool table and a bar to the left with split-level seating. During my recent Monday evening visit some kids were eating take-away in the pool room, I assumed they were the barmaids offspring. The televisions were off and there were two sources of music in the main bar area, neither of which were to my taste. Stuff dumped on the chairs and banquettes made if feel a bit like a garage. I didn’t find the barmaid to be very welcoming and nor was the lone customer who was stood chatting to here at the counter. Maybe it’s a bit more cheerful in the mornings when it opens at 7am for breakfast.

This is an end-terrace Victorian pub, with rear patio area. The pub is in a plain cream, with a black foundation layer and has a few Baggies flags on the outside. It is an elongated cottage, with modern windows and a side extension that runs-off to give a triangular shape. The interior has a couple of rooms. The room to the right is an irregular shaped bar room in red, with a pool table, dart board, TV (not on) and a punchbag machine. The room to the left is a lounge/dining area. It is in pepermint green, with white painted brick and is on two levels, with wood floors and ceiling. There are a couple of ornaments. There are several TVs, for what is a small room, showing Vintage TV and Wibmledon, with no sound - that came from very loud mixed music. There is a little serving area, as the place does Indian food (around a fiver), but i didn't eat so can't comment on that. The service was functional and it was busy enough with a local clientele. Beer; no real ale. Usual tap stuff with a decent enough Banks's MILD. Simply too loud for me, otherwise a solid enough run-of-the-mill pub.
