Soup Dragon left this review about The Strollers
This is a Victorian corner pub, formerly the New Hop Pole and prior to that, c1880, just The Hop Pole. It was once an M&B pub, but was swapped with Courage in 1980s. The pub is in a plain cream upper, with white lintels and a coffee lower, with some white and purple on the pilasters. It has a corner entrance. The interior has an L-shaped main room - there did appear to be an old snug, but it look unused, with a few boxes in. The main room is in purple and white, with a white ceiling and red patterned carpet. The serving bar is a nice old wood one, showing its Victorian heritage. There is a pool table on end, surrounded by Baggies memorabilia, and a dart board at the other end. The Tv had silent music on, while quite loud rock music was actually playing. I found this a friendly place, with friendly service. There were no real pictures. Beer; no real ale, all keg stuff, with an OK Theakston's MILD. A nice enough stop for a pint and a chuc at the dart board - nothing for the pure real ale-ist though.
