This is a detached 1950/60s pub, which is a product of its time - a dull looking building in other words. It has the familiar house element, with a low-level extension around - all now in cream brick. It is interesting to see the old outdoor has been converted into a chippy. The interior has a couple of rooms - but i didn't see the lounge at the back. The front room is the bar and is in a mix of white and cream, with a functional brown carpet. It has a pool table and dart board. There are no real pictures, just a few ornaments and plastic flowers - quite a 70s feel still. The service was fine and a few friendly enough locals were in. The TV had Emmerdale on and there was no music. The place does Indian food - £5-6 curries etc, but i didn't eat. Beer; usual; tap stuff - but the Ansell's MILD wasn't on. I had a shandy. A typical spit 'n' sawdust place, with the pub games - happy i stopped by but nothing for the real ale fan.
