Soup Dragon left this review about Hall End Tavern
This is a detached pub, with a few benches outside. Formerly know as the Hall End Tavern, it was known locally as the Rampa Tampa for a long time and has changed its name. It is a 1930s pub, built as a part of the first real wave of house expansion in the area. It is in plain brick, with keystone lintels, a hipped roof and moulded stone side-entrance (the other is blocked). The interior is hard to judge, as building work seems to be ongoing, so i am not sure what the end product will be like. I just saw one room with a curvy bar at one end. It is in white and red, with some red and black flowery wallpaper and some wood. There is a wood floor and a few prints on the walls. There is a TV and the advertise that all the Baggies games will be shown, but it had a music channel on at my visit. The service was fine and a few mature locals were playing dominoes. Beer; no real ale just the usual taps with a decent enough Banks's MILD. I am not sure what will become of this place, but at the moment there is nothing for the real ale fan.
