The New Flower Pot Bar & Grill is set back from the road by a car park and enclosed picnic table seating area. There’s an old Bank’s Brewery sign on the side of the path and also a small red tractor on a plinth outside, no idea what that’s all about. There’s a restaurant at the rear for the advertised grill, pizza and curry, but there is a separate small rectangular laminate floored bar to the right of the entrance. Seating runs across the front windows and across the left rear to the serving counter that runs across the right rear. Sky Sports was on the four televisions and I noted the presence of a couple of gaming machines. The two locals in attendance were more interested in gossiping with the friendly barmaid. Standard keg and Madri were available. An OK place for the area.

This is a modern detached Banks's pub with patio area. It is of brick, with an area of scalloping above the entrance. The roof extends one side and some dormer windows have been inserted to break-up what is a dull, functional building. The interior has a couple of rooms. The back room is a lounge that i did not see. The front room is the bar, and is in cream and wood panel, with a white ceiling and red tile floor. There are no rela pictures, just a few trophies for interest. There is a pool table and a dart board, as well as a TV, which was showing 'Grease'. There was no music. The service was OK and the clientele were a good mix, with a few tables of dominoes going, where the older guys were smashing them down like in the 'old days'. Beer; no real ale, just usual tap stuff with a not-to-good M&B MILD. A busy community pub, but nothing really for a real ale drinker.
