Ian Mapp left this review about The Lord Nelson
This is nearest pub to the Wednesbury Parkway Tram Stop - so obliged to continue my odyssey pub crawl.
Its quite a terrifying walk - deserted underpasses and then industrial units, where the activity seems to be cannibalising cars. Its hard to believe there is actually a pub along the road - but somehow the Lord Nelson survives.
Inside, its as you would expect. A single roomer. Lots of stuff lying around. An England flag sagging from the roof, with a TV showing the football results.
Four other punters in - but I assume they had come in from a different direction than the tram stop.
No cask. Guinness. Friendly barman.
Would love to know how it keeps going.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Lord Nelson
Very traditional side-street local in an active industrial area, but possibly also serving some housing estates a short distance to the north? Anyway, at least it was still open at 9 o'clock on a Wednesday evening, even if the side lounge was in darkness. The bar area still had a few customers, and some greatest hits from the past were playing on a large TV screen and on a reasonable sound system. No sign of real ale of course, and not even any John Smith's or Worthington's, so finished my walk with a Madri (£3.70).

Soup Dragon left this review about The Nelson Inn
A white rendered cottage style detached pub, with central entrance, in what seems an industrial area.
The pub had two rooms, and was in white and wood panel. One room had a dart board. Sadly, we walked in and everyone stopped - strangers in town, i guess. The service was functional, the music loudish.
The beer was all tap, but there was nothing forthcoming from either the Banks's MILD, or bitter one, so, with the choice of Worthingto*, Carlin*, Guinness or Strongbow, we turned and fled.
Not the greatest visit to a pub and i cant really say anything other than i wouldn't go back.
